I think I’ve said this 200 times I’m still going to say it again, I’m a huge fan of Urban Decay.
I have countless Naked, few Vice and now I’m hooked on Gwen.
Even though I’ve truckloads of makeup sent in by my lovely sponsors, I still believe in footing the bill for products I take interest in. So my MUA life doesn’t solely depend on sponsorship, there are many stuff in my stash that were paid with my own money.
Here’s one from:
Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette
Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette retails at S$85.00, available at all Sephoras
When I first saw this I was like ‘hello, where are the eye shadows? How come all empty one?’ #truestory
Then I realized is an empty palette look-alike that is gracing the cover! lol. Omg I was a bit embarrassed because I kept trying to poke the black part which supposedly look recessed but I couldn’t.
Also the gold casing (so Gwen, so Gwen…) is definitely an eye catcher that sets itself apart from other UD Palette.
This is probably the most unique design I’ve come across. So bold, the punk rock feel gave me the chills.
“Gwen Stefani Urban Decay’s Chief Creative Officer and Founding Partner Wende Zomnir spent countless hours at Gwen’s house, talking makeup and working with her on EVERY detail of this launch” (source: Sephora)
You know hor given Gwen Stefani loud character, I was expecting the inside to be filled with the so call ‘harajuku’ colours; pinks, blues, purples, greens….
But to my surprise when I opened it, I saw so many wearable colours that was favour towards to the neutral shades. That being said, even the metallic Royal blue carries a very safe black undertone (good for smokey).
You actually get a few matte, couple of shimmers and sparkles in between.
I can see the versatility of this palette; regardless is bridal makeup or a crazy theme party look (did a Great Gatsby theme recently using mainly the Royal blue) this palette fulfills it all.
From left: Blonde, Bathwater, Skimp, Steady, Punk, Baby, Anaheim, Stark, Zone, Serious, Pop, Harajuku, Danger, 1987, Blackout
Here’s a look I did using the ‘safer’ colours for a photoshoot recently. Given the effort I put in for my makeup and hair, I’m really excited to see how the pictures turn out! Besides, during the shoot I had a surprise guest with me; can’t wait to talk about it once the pictures are out!
Close-up of my eyes.
Mad love how blended the darker shades look on the outer corner of my eyes and the lighter sparkly shade on the centre and inner corner.
Also look how ‘blonde’ helps to lift my brow bone and made them looked so On Point.
Here I’m using 2 different lashes (#LashForOrder dbl-1 + Dbl-4) layered together for a more dramatic effect.

Barely noticeable double eyelid tape size L also from #LashForOrder (email to enquire)
