Everyone dreads removing makeup especially after a long day out, ok maybe not everyone but at least for me. It takes forever to remove that mascara remains if the remover is not strong enough.
Neutrogena introduces their latest Deep Cleansing Oil that works as a three-in-one facial cleanser, removes makeup, deep cleans with skin hydrating and brightening benefit.
Neutrogena Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil
The brightening variant contains mulberry extract, which is known to contain ascorbic acid and niacin. Ascorbic acid, commonly known as Vitamin C, helps inhibit tyrosinase, a naturally occurringenzyme that catalyses production of pigment. Niacin (Vitamin B), is known to inhibit melanin transfer. Together, these help to reveal new skin cells and brighten the complexion.
The hydrating variant contains cucumberextract that helps hydrates skin and keep it soft. Cucumis sativus (cucumber juice)naturally has high water content (more than 95 percent) and natural sugars that arepotent humectants, making it the choice naturally derived moisturising agent.
The method of use is fairly simple. First, apply the product onto dry skin, massage in circular motion to melt down all the makeup, then add water to emulsify. Lastly, rinse skin thoroughly with lukewarm water. It is said to work best with dry skin but it is workable even on wet skin, probably the melting of makeup doesn’t work as fast as when u use on dry skin.
See how fast it takes for the oil to transforms into soft cleaning milk with a touch of water.
Be careful when you are washing the eye area, my stung a bit when I tried to open it (the sacrifice of posing for photos lol) but it was all good when I rinse everything off.
There is no sticky or over drying after washing, my skin feels soft and supple. This is the clean squeaky afterfeel my skin is looking for.
I tend to favour Neutrogena Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil more due to the fact that I have dryer skin and letting my skin feels moisturised afterward is more important than bringing out the brightening effect.
Usually I will follow up with a normal cleanser after using any makeup remover but In order to put Neutrogena Deep Cleansing Oil to the test, I decide to skip my usual cleanser and sweep my skin with a cotton pad soaked with toner to see if there is any traces of makeup left on my skin.
Viola! No traces of makeup, nothing! ok if you see any black residue, those are the yarns from the hand towel I’ve used earlier.
Hope you like my review!
