As a sensitive skin sufferer, is always frightening to explore new products. However due to the nature of my work (as a Makeup Artist) I’m required to put my face forward to trial and error on new skincare and makeup.
Is really not easy because my skin condition is like a ticking bomb, it could suddenly flare up the next day after using the wrong products and I’m left with torn and tattered skin for the next few weeks of recovery.
When I was asked to try out the Physiogel Hypoallergenic Calming Relief A.I. Body Lotion I didn’t expect a lot from it, afterall it just says ‘body lotion’, how much good can it do for the skin except to moisturise the dry areas? Well, it actually proved me wrong in many ways!
In this post there won’t be fancy pictures nor posy shots of myself but instead, how (un)timely! my face got embroiled with eczema and our ‘relationship’ is still on going at the time of this writing. This is a good chance to really put Physiogel Hypoallergenic Calming Relief A.I. Body Lotion to the test.
Before I go on further, while AI Body Lotion is suitable (meant) for face and body usage, to prove its efficiency I had used it on my face instead. Actually there is also a specific Physiogel range that is catered specially for the face, for more information you may wished to check our local drugstores out.
You might probably think my face looks ‘ok’ judging from the below picture but in fact the entire face is itching like a monkey with fleas.
Do scroll down a little further…
In order to give you a better visual, I’ve dimmed the entire picture to capture the more intense areas.
My left profile (as shown below) the chin and forehead are the spots where it itches badly which also feels really raw.
Here’s a dollop of Physiogel Hypoallergenic Calming Relief A.I. Body Lotion.
Product oozes out nicely from the bottle yet not too runny to cause a mess, it also lives up to what was stated on the packaging “No preservatives, perfumes, colorants” There is no definite smell to this product, very neutral scent and carries no fragrance at all.
When I apply onto the affected areas, it gives off a tingling sensation followed by a slight calming effect that helps to soothes the flare-up areas.
Please do not expect this product to cure your skin immediately, instead view eczema like its common cold and flu; you always need to let viruses/infections to run its course. But what it does help is to aid you along the way, calm you skin and ease your itchiness. I definitely see myself scratching my face less after using this product and the spider veins already retreated back to its hibernation mode. I’m still on recovery mode but it helps greatly when your skin is protected by the right product catered for your skin type to prevent further damage; with such epic eruption it could have been worse for me.
I’m grateful Physiogel decides mail over for my review, if not I would’ve definitely gritted my teeth and suffer in silence until the course of eczema is over. Also I know there are immediate measures to soothes your skin but most of them contains small amounts of steroid which I’m not exactly comfortable in using. Physiogel Hypoallergenic Calming Relief A.I. Body Lotion is so effective and safe they are cater even for small babies and children, definitely a plus point for me and little Ryleigh. This way I don’t need to rack my brains buying different products cater for adults and children.
Hope you like my review!
