OOTD- Grey Tunic Top with Dusty Blue leggings

One of my new year outfits!

I've featured this before about the tunic top in cheap clothes from city plaza
This time round I'm matching it with dusty blue leggings.

Sometimes you can change the entire outfit by adding a little something to it. In this case, I added a brown thin belt and it instantly makes my silhouette longer and more define.

The little lace details at the shoulder area, laces are not always makes one look girly or feminine. I feel rather edgy with these lurex laces

see how the back is longer than the front panel?
I fee like a musical conductor when I'm wearing this!

This pair of pumps r from charles and keith.
They look good but they don't walk good lo.

I've been wearing this for a while already but it still bites my feet.

with all the colours I'm carrying I've decided to keep my hair and makeup real simple.

Loreal White Perfect Pearl Foundation

Hey dblchinis!!!

Loreal snt me some products a long time ago, apologies it took me forever to post this up.
I've got 3 shades of White Perfect Pearl Foundation with me here.

Loreal have the most generous people in their marketing team. Initially, they sent me a shade that is way too dark for my skin tone and I highlighted to them about it, I was resend 2 other shades. Now I have 3!

looks like a giant crayola with a brush tip.

I'm holding to G2 Golden Vanilla.

Is pretty easy to pump the foundie out but using the brush tip spread it evenly on the face is a challenged. It would be so much easier if I use my fingers but then again the purpose of this brush tip is not to stain/taint my fingers.

This foundie is not too long lasting so gotta touch up pretty often throughout the day & it feels slight oily maybe because of the ingredients they use for whitening.

Here are the swatches.

Golden beige was the first colour that I receive, as you can see it is super dark for my skin.
Apricot ivory is a little too pink for my skin colour as I'm more of a yellow base instead.
Golden Vanilla suits me the best as you can see even on the back of me hand it still blends in to my tone.

OOTD- Babydoll top with Grey Leggings

Hi dblchinis!

So sry I've been indulging in CNY food until I missed so many days of blogging. That explains the weighing scale too.

Just to show u an outfit of the day I wore last week.

This baby doll top had been snoozing in my closet until spring cleaning arrives. So I paired it with this pair of comfy grey leggings.

I love baby doll dresses simply because it elongates the rest of my body making my legs appear slimmer and leaner.

Despite major weight gain with rounder and bigger face, I manage to stay slim in photos simply because of my contacts.
It enlarges my iris making my eyes looking bigger and wider & the rest of the features look smaller instantly.

Briefing session on how to use Nikon 1 J1

Here are a couple of Nikon 1's interchangeable lenses, served for different functions.
While most of them are holding the pancake lens, I'm using the Standard Zoom 10-30.

If you notice, there is catch at the side of the lens that allows me to zoom in and out according to my preference. It also serves as an 'ON' button for the camera.

This Camera plays really sharp image.

Even thought my lens is much bigger than the pancakes, it is actually pretty light thus makes it really easy to camwhore with it too.

Actually the way both of them twirl is like super clumsy and uncoordinated but this camera function makes it so graceful and synchronize.
So next time shoot yourself with J1 while digging your nose really fast, I believe it will come out pretty artistic too.

Cheap Clothes from City Plaza

Good Day dblchins!

Nothing much, Just wanted to show you a few pieces of super affordable-cheap clothing that I got from City Plaza.

I bought a total of 11 outfits(dresses + tops) for an average of 10 bucks each
&
I'm majorly proud of my thriftiness but not that proud coz I bought so many without batting an eyelid.

U see huh, when I buy super cheap cloths in bulk, I will parade around the house Showing it off to Mr Lim piece by piece my purchases. He will then judge me with that cheap slut look, at the same time pinching the fabric with his thumb and forefinger and shaking his sorry Extra-Terrestrial head to prove that the garment is lousy.

Srsly where can u get cheaper garments of decent quality at a not-so-dirt-cheap-but-cheap price?

The ones I bought r quality fabric like chiffon hor, u see la later.
OK I admit, impulsive buys like 2 out of these 11 pieces but hey probability of me failing is low.
Paiseh I'm not showing those, I relly don't like to wash my dirty laundry in public.

Lets check out the (partial) stuff that I've bought.

Ok this is not cheap stuff, but I got this for a discount coz my friend is working there.
So I cannot tell you the actual amount that I've paid.
BUT you can find them at makers mart #03-138B

This is a 2 way dress, like 2 way cake foundation like that.
The same concept of using it wet or dry, you can wear it front to back.

For morning wear go work meet boss you can wear as per above la, decent like your colleagues will never know what you are up too.

Then at night you flip the back to the front, immediately you see a huge contrast of neutral and strong blue overwhelming your chest.
Then your neckline suddenly plunge like everyone wants to stare at your pair of glory like that.
You also can meet your boss in such attire if you know what I mean.
Today plunge, tomorrow promotion *Dramatic wink*

The quality is superb, go check my friend out now!

This off-shoulder Mint dress is like super bridesmaidsy

it looks so soft to the touch but the workmanship is not too good.
Is $10 bucks, so I just give take.
Besides I can make amendments with my sewing.
What I like about this dress is it doesn't look cheap, maybe coz of the spandex.
I love how it body hugs the top torso that accentuates my mini shoulders.
I don't really like the length thought, is a little too long but can cut coz spandex wont fray.

Toga dress in mint green too!

This dress is beautiful but the smocking under the bust makes it looks a little cheap, so must definitely pair it with an atas looking belt.
Totally digging the details at the shoulder, it jazzes up the entire outfit making it look less boring but still gotta look for a nice belt to go with it.
10 dollar! 10 Dollar! Good buy, best buy, muz buy!

Tunic top with mandarin collar S$10

This is one of my fav of the lot, is like casual yet classy, feminine yet edgy.
So much of the less in more going on with this top.
I super love the trimmings on my shoulder, it feels like a patriotic officer waiting to blast those sorry assholes that bomb twin towers .
Apologies u can't see the detail here but don't worry I can't see it from here too so u are not blind afterall.
However, Not too worry, I'm gonna feature this in my next OOTD look
AND I'm sorry if you discover my black panty seeping thru the fabric, I wear a nude one the next time round I promise.

As for the rest of my purchases, I will do more OOTD post, just gimme a chance to keep u in suspense first kays?

Actually my eyes not nice one but with makeup, fake lashes, mascara, eye liner it looks more human.

In order to increase the intensity to look like a proper human with chio hair, good example shown above.
I had to use the help of the below.

Freshkon Dezigner colour lense feels super comfy even after a whole day of usage especially for Lasik users like me.
I've done lasik many years ago I couldn't even rember when I did it and usually people had problems fitting coloured lense, I'm glad the contact lenses that I've tried hasn't given me any problems yet.

I was snt 2 colours.
Pink & Green Solitaire.

So I wore Green Solitaire for my day out!

The iris enlarging lenses are 14.2mm in diameter!

I'm loving the effect of these lenses, they made my eyes look intense.

The green is also not too overpowering so I could match this with deep purple or even blue makeup!

Loreal snt me 5 awesome lipsticks for me to tryout sometime ago.

I've blogged about how awesome their Loreal L’Or limited edition was, this time round they sent me another 5 shades, to prepare my lips for Chinese New year!

There are a range of intense and natural shade.

The hues for this time round are nothing short vibrancy.

I have to say Loreal Riche lippies very moisturizing BUT they don't last long especially after meals.
But is guess is not much of a deal, u just need to reapply.

'Deep Raspberry'

An intense cherry colour just make my thin chapped lips pop right out!

I'm very proud to show my teeth nowadays, Invisalign has does so much for me I can't thank Orchard Scotts Dental enough.

This pout wouldn't be a success without the lipstick.

'Intense Fuchsia'

This is new to my lip collection!
I rarely look for pink lipsticks that carries purple tone but I kinda like this.

I do have wrinkly lips but with Loreal lip color it makes me lips look less wrinkly and moisturize

'Magnetic Coral'

This is one heavy tone of coral.
When is time to get bold, I'll definitely whip this out from my collection.

I love to feather out bold lipstick instead of giving it a strong edgy line.

Now for the naturals.

'Nude'

This feels ALMOST nothing on my lips, my original lip colour is a little rosier though.

Pretty wearable for Everyday as compared to 'Nude Treasure 390' which has a glittery effect.
This one just carries more of a natural glaze instead.

Last but not least,

'Sensual Rose'

This is my favourite lip colour of the series, it gives me the goddess feel probably because of the holographic gold tone that was cast on my lips.

This colour reflects even more when light is direct at me.

Is been a while since I head to Shunji Matsuo so my black unsightly roots have grown out already.

So time to touch up!

See how long I have not visited them? *ashamed*

I had my hair coloured red the last time round and it has since faded to a rich hazelnut tone.
So this time round my stylist Haruka is going to match my current colour onto the roots.

This is how much it cost to touch up the roots.

Pix was taken at home the very next day after touching up.
You can see Haruka matches the colour really well, I have absolutely no complains!
There are no ugly patches seen, loving my hair salon as always...

Trichokare Hair Treatment

This is my first advert post for 2012 yay!

I was invited to Trichokare at Tampines Century Square for a scalp treatment last week.

The reception area looks pretty icy and neat.
This was taken last week thus I believe they already remove the X'mas deco by now.
Maybe the next time u head there u'll see Chinese New Year dragons gracing the entrance.

They hung the hallway with Frames of published article in local magazines.

I'm pretty impressed with the achievements.

Love how Trichokare keeps their advert clean and neat, just like their reception area.

I was brought to a warm and cozy consultation room a hair review.

And

They Magnified my scalp 500 Xs.

Seems like I've got some weak and thin hair strands at some areas.

Healthy hair should have 3 or more THICK hair strands in a pore
Like this.

This is another part of my head, despite the yucky flakes that is most likely caused by eczema.
My hair strands look relatively healthy here.

I'll be receiving treatment target to cleanse my scalp and get rid of the flakiness.

I was then shown to this cubicle where patrons get their own privacy with dividers between each cubicle.

Ok I had herbs applied right on my scalp

Had to wait for a good 20 mins to the treatment to act.

After that, time for a good wash!

This area is dimmed darker than the rest to let patrons relax enjoy a better service and during the cleansing process

Towel dried hair

Trichokare is so thoughtful, My therapist laid a heat pack on my shoulders after washing my hair to keep warmth

After blow dying my hair, my therapist put me through this huge machine that emits infraredwhich is said to reduce hair loss and helps to regenerate new hair.

It might look hot to the touch infact I don't much heat emitting from this device,.

This massive infrared machine might just be Megatron in disguise.

Ok confirmed. This is just a machine.

The bottom 2 pics are scans of my after treatment.

My scalp seems to look cleaner but still I need regular treatment if I wished to minimize the problem with my eczema.

I enjoyed my treatment there as it was rather relaxing with hair massages and the smell of herbs That is not too pungent nor overwhelming.
My scalp looks cleaner after treatment and my head feels much lighter too!

Another camwhore post still with the sore eye!

This time I added a new member to our Meaningless shoot, Richie!

We love Richie to the maximum, he is like baby of the family haha

We adopted since he was 6 mths old and had him for a almost gd 5 yrs and going.
Richie is very obedient for his breed(silky terrier), most silky gives a snobbish air but richie doesn't n he digs his squeaky lil toys.
he looks quite hunky like stout, probably u mistaken him for a pit bull but actually deep down this lil fella behaves worse than a chihuahua.
what good is he doesn't pee/poo in the house, he holds it until he gets a walk, actually a rather gd way to beg for a walk isn't it?
But of course, he can be a lil bastard sometimes, no matter how many times u call for him his ass but will root on the ground not wanting to come to you, stupid ~~CAT~~ dog.

so I'm glad my in-laws are now 1/2 retired so they can spend more time with Richie.

Regardless we all <3 u lil boy.

Actually we do have a #Napbas after party at ZOUK KL

we didn't manage to take any photos coz I'm simply too lazy to bring out my camera to night spots! Partying and looking after yourself is more important, Better safe than sorry

I was tweeting to her that is an utter shame we didn't get to take pics tgther!
but there is always a next time. I'm sure.

Well all of us partied kinda hard and had problems waking up the next day.

Regardless, we all(almost) did and had breakfast to prepare to head out for our 1 day tour.

We visited the king's palace but only allowed to take photos of the gate -_-

I had the best time with Esther today!

She seems kinda snobbish at the first look but actually shes really friendly.

I've almost been updating everyday for this entire week. Awesome not?!?!

Thank u for all the support and I'm really grateful to have the chance to receive so many grt gifts and sponsored trips, be amongst the greatest bloggers and having to say hi and even snap a valuable pic with them!

I count my every blessing for the great things that happen in my life. Met new people of all aspects, I'm
Glad some of us got to know each other better on a personal level and even closer. I learnt a bit more every time we get to see each other at events. Social media is the only thing I look forward to making new friends as my mundane lifestyle is pretty much meh. I do not have many colleagues to interact with & I yet to receive a single xmas gift from anyone in my work of line.

Aside from thanking my closest kin n frds in my private life this great xmas, I would like to give a shoutout to this special bunch of girls : Sarah(Facesbysarah), Sara(icyabstract), Roseanne(roseannetangrs) & Diana(adorebeauty).

Diana, she's like my top notch nemesis. We like to pass the baton of silliness to each when we meet up , her super crazy Siao personality nv fails to plant a smile on my face. Diana! I miss u!!!

One person that I would like to thank the most, the one that kicked start my major sponsorship with invisalign is Pearlin. I was invited to her first event with orchard Scott's dental and my smile changed forever. Is still changing now for the better (looking forward to seeing my dentist again).

Aloe Soothing

I yet to get a chance to try them all but I've tested Aloe Soothing mask and I dun really enjoy it very much reason being, it is pretty sticky to the touch.
I like to pat my face after masking so that the essences can seep into the skin which it does most of the time but this time round, it remains sticky thus making me feel very 'gao wei' (uncomfy)

So usually when my face is sticky, I'll splash some water and dab with a piece of wipes/tissue, the will solve the stickiness. However, it does gives me moisturizing effect so that my skin feels supple the next day and soothes blemishes.
U want to say I have no blemishes right? I wished u were wrong :(((

However, a word of advice.
I wouldn't recommend u to try this out if you can't take a wee bit of yuckiness.

Apologies i won't b able to blog much this week, I just gotten pink in one eye aka sore eye.

I've rested for a couple of days already and I hope I can get better by then for #NAPBAS , (Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011) which is happening this fri at KL.

I can't really tell if my hairfall has lessen but after washing with this shampoo, my hair doesn't tangle too much even before I apply my conditioner.
And I kinda like the smell, is refreshing yet not too overpowering.

I really love this, it says menthol but it doesn't feels too chill.
U know some shampoo the comes with a minty feel leaves me the major chilly feel after washing but this one doesn't.

My hubs tried out both but he prefers the no menthol one, his scalp is like his character Very Sensitive New age guy.

He is not very much of a anti-dandruff shampoo lover so I guess this is out for him but he is rather attracted to the attractive packaging.

Hi all!!!

I've been wanting to post the updates for my Dermal Fillers which I've done approx a month ago(Read here) with Neuglow.

So far everything looks good, this was right after my follow up with Dr Wee.

Now my nose bridge is higher and my features look more define too!

Student outfit of the day.

The below images are how my nose bridge looks like a few days after injecting the 2nd round of fillers.

It has subside quite a bit now but is still good!

But in 6 mths time I'm gg say bye bye to that! Miss you fillers!!!

Hi dblchinissssss!!!

Wore a bodycon dress bought from Kandykayne store located at Bugis sometime ago!

Finally got a chance to wear it for a frd wedding

This a super fitted dress so if you have a mega tummy like me, you gotta starve quite a bit to wear this!

You can see a slight bump of my tummy, gimme 2 more years and I won't be able to fit in this no more .
Sorry had to take the pic in the loo as the lighting is much better and stronger, I'm trying my best to avoid using flash.
My laundry basket is full! time to dump these into the washing machine :)

I went for a deep dark silver/grey look but I didn't want to overwhelmed it too much as I was attending a wedding not to a club.

Nowadays I rarely shade my entire eyelid with colours, sometimes it might just look a little too messy if I shade them till my brown bone.

So I keep it simple and subtle yet intensify the colours within.

This is how it looks with flash.

O I stole a couple of masks from the venue and camwhored with it! haha!

Hi dblchinis

Saw that green dress in my previous Carlo rino blog entry?

Yes I got this for less than 25rm in Msia ! My frds all call me cheapo queen.
But I managed to turn it into a posh and expensive dress right not? Huh huh?

Yes is like a super body hugging dress, is so tight that I can't help but gotten comments frm my frds that I've gained weight.
Please do not say I'm skinny anymore, I'm srsly out of the league :(

Anyways what I've gain is a little more contour to my body so now my buttocks are slightly perkier thus it fits well on this dress, still hv to wrk on my tummy though...

I added a hipster belt to conceal my tummy and to jazz up this military green tone into something more cherry.

Look at my leopard printed heels, Bought this from Charles and Keith sometime ago.
thought it adds sophistication to the entire outfit.

My makeup, I wore water fairy lenses by sassylove, I went for a slightly muddy eyeshadow look to match them with the outfit once again.

Sry if it looks messy, is not the eyeshadow, is the dbl eyelid glue that separates the eyelids making it look like that when I close my eyes.

You can see the curls r super tight when I step out of the house.

But when I got bk it kinda loosen up a huge bit! An entire different set of curls when I got home.

Life is unpredictable haha!
