Hi Dblchinis! YES, back with another post!
I know I haven’t been diligent in updating my blog BUT I’m really trying my best to improve my frequency in writing.
Is not that I didn’t want to but Ry was unwell the whole of last week thus I was camping at home taking care of the little sick pumpkin :(
Anyways back to our fun topic of the day, Etude House X Pony! Not my little pony (close but no) nor the real pony but the Pony from Korean!!! Confusing much?
Incase you haven’t notice, she’s one of the famous youtuber cum MUA cum Star instagrammer not to mention chio face and… *BONUS* she’s the MUA for CL 2NE1! Together with Etude House, she is conducting a live makeup demonstration using Etude House’s latest products to create a:
1) Smokey eye makep suitable for clubbing
2) Sweet contouring makeup
The latest Real Powder Cushion, I was given both shades.
Will talk about this in a separate post.
My all time fav Color My Brows Mascara, read about my review here.
Play 101 stick, highly raved by Pony
Siau Jia Hui hosting the show
Here comes Pony! Her Skin like damn flawless!!!
Here’s a makeup gif of her demonstrating the smokey eyed look on Miyake.
Using Etude House Play Colour Eyes ‘In the Cafe’ she manages to do a sultry dark makeup suitable for partying and nightout.
I’m highlighting some of the tips she shared with us on the day itself:
*disclaimer I can’t quote her word for word but whatever I’ve written here is somewhere along the line, so do read it at your discretion*
Question: “why do you prefer using a brush rather than using your own finger for blending?”
Pony: ” Think of your fingers as each individual bristles of your makeup brush, you won’t be able to blend well with 1 individual bristle as compared to a chuck of bristles”
Pony: ” Singapore is not only hot but humid, the only way to combat the humidity is to use a good sebum controlling product, here I have Etude House Sebum Control Powder, pat it all over your face to control the oil and grease”
For more instructions on how to use this product and what it does for your skin, do head to any of the stores and find out more from the counter staff.
Pony: ” The principles of highlighting and contouring is actually not that hard, think of your face as a sphere, for those area you want it to stand out, apply on a lighter colour (highlight) and for those areas you want it to look sunken, apply on the darker shade (Contour)”
Pony is using Face Designing V-Line Maker in #1 sun gold/wood brown on Quiting. I personally like the other combination #2 sun pink/cherry brown better, pink shades always makes my bride looks glower.
However if my bride is tanner or someone who is under the sun a lot, it would definitely be a game changer to Sun gold/wood brown shade.
I bought a truckload of stuff from Etudehouse aside from the HUGE goodie bag, cant wait to show them to you!
