• Photoshoot with Little Ryleigh

A while ago my 2 besties, Sisi & John decided to come together and constructed a 2 piece outfit for Ryleigh and me. Sisi, the brain child Pickety Thumb, a stay home mum who has carved out a little name for herself, excels in creating handcrafted diaper cakes in different designs and composition. She cleverly uses baby everyday needs such as bibs, wraps, wet wipes, garments, feeding paraphernalia, at the same time adding toys and other basic necessities and accessories to construct interesting forms and shapes for a diaper tower. John, the owner of Theos Kyrios,  who does bespoke tailor-ship, doesn’t need much further introduction. His sewing skills and awesome handcrafted…

  • Styling for Black Paint Commercial (behind the scenes)

Was honored to be working with Black Paint for their first commercial shoot, nothing more satisfying than doing my favorite thing: makeup & hair. As much as I love being in front of the camera, going behind-the-scenes is more of ‘my thing’ nowadays. This time round I was engaged to do 2 different sets of faces, ‘natural’ in contrast with ‘thick’ makeup. Here’s Charmaine, I didn’t exactly made her ‘bad looking’, the key here is just to bring her makeup it over the top. Also I didn’t have a fresh, clean face to begin with, it was already prepped before hand thus explains the rosy glow in my ‘before’ picture.…

  • Going Pro with ShopOnlineLah Makeup Case

To every MUA nothing beats having a professional case to go along with their makeup and hair tools. For those of you who had engaged my services previously, you definitely wouldn’t missed seeing my chiong ‘Cath Kidston’ 2 wheeler when I bring it for assignments. Even though the appearance looks pretty and colourful, it just somehow lacked a little on the ‘professionalism’ aspect. Besides, throughout constant wear and tear, this luggage is actually falling apart. So I started looking around for a new case when one day Silver apps me out of the ordinary asking whether I’m keen take up a sponsorship for a makeup case…I’m like hell yea! OK…

  • Behind the Scenes of #WATA (Golden Village)

Is been adequate amount of time since I talked about NOC, is not that I have nothing to update but rather Ryan and Sylvia wanted to let me have ample rest in the beginning of my pregnancy before taking up heavier duties, say for example le #WATA project. #wata is pit in Golden Village Cinemas, head down before showtime to catch the preview of this video. It was a refreshing experience coming back to the team as a backstage performer aka the makeup artist. Now that the team has expanded, is great to see everyone coming together and putting their best foot forward with regards not only towards onscreen acting…

  • [Makeup folio] Bridal Trial Makeup for Joyce

Today’s featured bride is non other than my Sis-in-law Joyce, she’s getting married overseas this Jun and would like me to help her with her Trial makeup as a reference guide for her MUA over there. I would assist her with her makeup (overseas) if not for the little one in my tummy. Traveling is a hazard for me right now :( Due to some dull spots which makes Joyce’s face looks gloomy, I had to correct her skintone and set her base right, this way it will be a breeze for other makeup to come on. I also slightly lifted her eyelids and enhance the outer corner of her…

  • My Bridal Work- Bridal Hairdo

I know I’ve been posting loads of my bridal works on my Facebook page and instagram which limits me to certain things like posting 2 collated pictures into one page. Whatever it is, I’ve put 101% effort in achieving these looks be it the length of time to complete them. So please no non-constructive criticism because it doesn’t aid what I’m doing…

  • Client’s Make and Hairdo -Jojo Wu [pre-wedding]

This time round I’m publishing a post that serves as an important portfolio for me; Makeup & Hairdo for a Bride’s Pre-Photography outdoor shoot (last September 2012). The plunge my friend, Jojo chose to take even when I’m not a certified makeup artist, I’m glad she has faith in me. Needless to tell you, she’s a happy customer at the end of the day. When she popped the question, not to propose but requesting me to help with her pre-photography makeup shot Leslie Photography, I immediately agreed without hesitation. Leslie is known for capturing beautiful angles and minimum photoshopping, I’ve seen photographers photoshop brides to an unimaginable state, from tree trunks…

  • Client’s Makeup and hairdo for Wedding Night-Beverly K

Hi Dblchinis I did a Client’s makeup and hair for a wedding around few weeks ago and I must say she’s pretty happy with it! Here are the look I did for her big night out! Beverly wanted a neutral yet smokey look, so I decided to keep her eyes simple only to darken the outer corners giving that sultry boost. Her natural lash needs some deserving falsies to feel noticeably prominent for a grand night out. I also coated her bottom lashes with several coats of fiber mascara to elongate the lashes, notice how it immediately opens up to the windows of her soul? In addition I only drew…
